We ended up at Crococun accidentaly, since it’s located at the main road that leads to our hotel H10 Ocean Coral & Turquesa. Crococun is an Ecological Crocodile Farm & Native Animals Zoo.
This is a fantastic interactive zoo, where you actually interact with the animals, touch them, feed them, learn their habits and routines. It’s mostly a reptile zoo, so if you don’t like reptiles, maybe the best would be skipping this attraction.
The most fascinating experience at Crococun was in fact the crocodile walk. Imagine walking in between medium to big sized crocodiles, free range, with no protection? SCARY! At least. But we did it, with the help of our guide, who was since the beginning very helpful and friendly. We did a totally private visit, escorted by the guide. Started by some other reptiles and birds. From turtles, to small and big snakes, passing by the monkeys, this has them all.
Give it a try, it’s a great experience!
