Sol Melia Cayo Largo Hotel was a perfect stay in the Island of Cayo Largo, Cuba. In fact, the Island is perfect for people who enjoy quietness, silence and relax. A real paradise, in the caribbean, away from the massive crowds of the famous resorts at Dominican Republica, Mexico or even Varadero in Cuba. It’s something totally different, for a different type of traveler.
The island of Cayo Largo is only at a short fly from Havana, using AeroGaviota airlines, takes only 40min to arrive in a propeler comfortable aircraft. This island of Cayo Largo is famous for its pristine beaches and transparent water has no inhabitants, making a perfect scnenary for a week of total relaxing.
The Sol Melia Cayo Largo Hotel is composed of 296 rooms, in front of the ocean, and featuring 3 excellent restaurants. The Hotel is rated 4-star, but I’ve stayed in several 5-star luxury hotels offering much lower quality than I got here at Sol Melia.
The beach at the hotel is often desert, as most people prefer instead the pool. We rented a Jeep to explore the island of Cayo Largo, and found totally desert and spectacular beaches like Sirenis or Paraiso, who seemed taken out from a computer wallpaper directly to your real life.
