Cayo Iguana is a very small islet, famous for it’s day trips by boat, from the main islands closeby, mostly Cayo Largo, due it’s proximity. The name comes from the most popular animal on this islet: The famous Iguana lizzards, who live permanentely on this island and visited daily by tourists who feed them giving bread and other food.
The famous day trips depart from Cayo Largo for a half-day or full-day, exploring desert small islets, snorkeling, and often provided with a delightful seafood meal of grilled caribbean lobsters, served onboard.
It’s a very relaxing day trip, to explore the surrounding islands around Cayo Largo. Totally recommended, and often can be booked directly at your hotel reception/concierge.
