The Hotel Railay Bay Resort & Spa at Railay Beach (Prices starting at 86EUR for the cottages up to 500EUR/night for the garden pool villa) was one of our big deception. The location is great, and acessible only by boat from Ao Nang, but found it too packed and full of tourists. Massified tourism, too much people, unpersonal service and not very friendly. We did enjoy the visit to this place, specially because of Railay Beach, the Monkeys, Phra Nang Cave, and also climbing up to the viewpoint to see all the bay, which was really impressive. Many people come here to this spot to spend the day from Ao Nang and return.
They claim to have 130 rooms but looks much more. We also had a construction area just next our room, which caused some even extra bad feeling about this place. We did enjoy the peaceful breakfast at the beach, early in the morning.
I do recommend a visit to Railay for a day, but not staying here, maybe somewhere else close by.
