Koh Yao Yai Village: This was definitey one of the highlights of our trip to Thailand. Our plans instanty changed once we arrived here, and extended few nights the stay on this hotel while cancelled other reservations we had already (and paid for), on behalf of this one. Koh Yao Yai and Koh Yao Noi are two sister islands located in the Andaman Sea, not far from the famous Phi Phi Islands, in Phang Nga Bay, famous in James Bond “The Man With the Golden Gun”.
– Koh Yao Yai Village by The Treasury Village Group has Prices starting from 79EUR up to 130EUR per night for beach front villa. This is a kind of place that anywhere else would be charged from 500EUR to 750EUR per night easily.
The island is charming and it’s aprox 30km wide one side to the other. You can rent easily a scooter and drive around, that’s what we did. The island has 90% muslim population, a big difference from the rest of the country which has 93% of buddhists. We need to say here that the hotel staff is AMAZING, made us a wonderful stay with lifetime memories. Locans are nice and friendly, and the swimming pool is something you will never forget. We had a deluxe bungalow with garden view, and just take a look at the photos to see what’s about 😉
